Position Summary
The Logistics Specialist – Foreign-to-Foreign Operations is responsible for coordinating international shipments between non-U.S. countries from order confirmation through final delivery.
This customer-facing role works closely with traders, buyers, international vendors, and customers to coordinate shipping schedules, manage commercial and shipping documentation, monitor vendor payments, track shipments, and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery or customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned foreign-to-foreign shipments from order confirmation through final delivery.
Work closely with traders and buyers to coordinate purchase orders, sales requirements, shipping schedules, and customer commitments.
Communicate with international vendors to confirm product availability, production dates, pickup schedules, and shipment details.
Request, collect, and review commercial and shipping documents from vendors for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate document review and approval with customers and request any required corrections or changes from vendors.
Monitor documentation deadlines to prevent shipment, customs, or delivery delays.
Track vendor payment terms and coordinate payment requests with Purchasing, traders, and Accounting.
Ensure payments are processed according to the agreed contractual terms and shipment milestones.
Track shipments, vessel schedules, departure dates, transshipments, arrival dates, and final delivery.
Serve as a primary logistics contact for assigned customers and provide timely shipment and documentation updates.
Identify and communicate delays, documentation discrepancies, payment concerns, or other unusual situations to traders and Purchasing.
Work with vendors, customers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to resolve operational issues.
Maintain complete and accurate shipment, documentation, payment, and delivery information in SAP and internal tracking systems.
Confirm final delivery and ensure all shipment records are complete and properly closed.
Required Experience and Skills
Three or more years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, import/export operations, or order management.
Experience coordinating international shipments between countries outside the United States.
Experience reviewing commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, and other international shipping documents.
Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage documentation, payment deadlines, and multiple international shipments at the same time.
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required. Intermediate proficiency will not be considered.
High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing documents and maintaining system information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with SAP Business One or a similar ERP system preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, international trade, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
