Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly driven, and motivated individual with a passion for sales in the meat industry for the USA region.  This position will be responsible for prospecting new customers and generating profitable sales of fresh or frozen Pork, Beef, Poultry, Seafood and Vegetables to existing accounts on the assigned portfolio.
Our target clientele base includes retailers, processors, food service and local market distributors, meat shop owners, and other trading companies in the assigned market.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for managing assigned portfolio of customers and leads n the USA region.
  • Responsible for developing positive relationships with customers and prospects.  Retain and grow all client relationships while identifying revenue opportunities.
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring pending sales orders to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • You will be expected to meet or exceed our goals in terms of profitability, pounds, and dollars sold, as per our pre-determined monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas, and KPI’s. You must Work on your clientele’s demand planning as per the company’s standards.
  • Work closely with our purchasing and operations teams to satisfy our customers’ needs.
  • Work closely with trading team to support company’s efforts on positions and inventories.
  • Work closely with our credit and collections teams to ensure our accounts and receivables in assigned portfolio meet our standards.
  • Provide guidance to customers leveraging available data and market trends.
  • Must travel to markets to interact with customers and leads as needed and in coordination with management.
  • Must participate in company sponsored events, trade shows and events as needed and in coordination with management.
Required Experience and Skills: 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in similar positions in sales or purchasing departments at other trading companies, foodservice distributors, retailers, and/or processors in the US region.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the meat industry and dynamics in the US region.
  • Ability to nourish long lasting relationships with team, customers, and industry peers.
  • Ability to create its own account portfolio. Commitment to continuously prospecting and growing portfolio of accounts.
  • Organized and with attention to detail. Open to continuously learn and adapt to changes either within the company and/or business environment.
  • Ability and desire to follow the company’s procedures and practices, direction, and goals.
  • Driven, persistent, self-motivated, and curious towards pertinent available information, data, and trends relevant to the business.
  • Desire to manage and monitor portfolio as per company’s guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, use, and leverage available technology and platforms.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English.
